Dean had some thoughts on it:
I like how he called all the current main football media members "old grifters." I just could not imagine being a guy starting out, trying to make a name for myself, calling out all the current people doing this job as "old grifters."
I've never met Jacob. I'm not sure if that comment was directed towards us, or who it was directed to. We've worked very hard to get this point. We are a fully self-sustained business. He commented on shows spending too much time on football, we'll we see the numbers. We have to talk football if we want videos that do over 10,000 views. Even when we had Mark Manning on, which was a great interview, it was one of our lower shows at around 8,000 views. Nebraska basketball is just rarely something we can lead with on a show and expect big numbers vs. football. That's the reality of this market and what it is. I don't talk a big game on Twitter. I look at the raw data and numbers.
Again, I don't know Jacob and he's never said two words to me. I am just commenting on the "old grifter" portion, where he took a shot at all the football guys who have done the job for a long time.
