Can you dispel the rumor that he “grew up with the Peed boys” ? The original rumor that he knew the peeds (i would hope he knows all boosters, its literally his job to wine and dine our boosters) has evolved to the point they were childhood bffs.

Unlike yourself I am not a Frost, TO or TC apologist. You are one of the few left that defend them or question the rumors even though the rumors you have been questioning us on for a while when we posted them have generally turned out to be true. Stories are finally leaking out to the media on the shit show that was going on but keep defending away. Since TrueColors has tucked tail and run that leaves you as the only White Knight for the TC, TO & Frost.

As noted by you yes I did put rumor in front because I was not there. That information came from a booster (Non-TC) who is not sure how it all shook down because Turd has been somewhat tight lipped. And he is close with Turd. It is his understanding that they helped offset some of early buy out cost. He's generally been pretty spot on with information he has shared with me.

If you want to keep defending the Peeds & the TC I can drop some real fucking bombs, and 1 "Rumor" the Peed family does not want getting out, trust me. I could also mention some things about other boosters along with more Frost stories that would paint people and the program in a very bad light. And don't get me started with what was going on with ABM & our Athletic Department as some are afraid there could be recruiting violations or at the least legal ramifications against the university for preferential treatment. They walked a very fine line with violations and crossed that line when it came to fair competition. I only share enough to raise awareness and don't share everything as I don't want to get us in trouble. Some really shitty stuff has been going on behind the scenes for years. I trust Turd is the right person to start getting more control over boosters and the power players, at least let's hope so.

Matt grew up in Tecumseh, the Peed boys went to Pius. Who told you they grew up together? That is interesting to me. Especially considering the oldest Peed boy graduated HS in 2000 and Davison graduated HS in 93

Tom Peed (sandhills publishing) is the booster you are referring to, anybody on the board know him personally to just ask? They are very involved w/ the community.

It was my understanding that they were long time friends, maybe it was not since high school. They have 3 boys so maybe the connection is playing high school sports. Yes the Peeds are very involved and incredibly generous with the community as they have given many large donations (some 7 figures) to food banks, catholic church organizations, political funds, the university...... Matt has been linked closely to them by more than 1 person I have spoken with and mention of a long relationship. Yes Matt is a fund raiser for the university so obviously should know them from that relationship but I believe it goes further than just that. One message I got from someone I trust basically lumped them together saying "Matty D & the Peeds are distancing themselves from Frost due to the recurring problems with Frost going into the 5th season".

Without being there these are truly rumors but we have our sources that we trust & believe. Were you there? I wasn't but when I hear the similar statements from different trusted boosters I tend to believe them. Look at all of the former players who are coming out mentioning stuff, coincidence? There are others on this board that have messaged me as they have heard the same things from various connected people that I have posted. Honestly I got some of my best Husker contacts when I called out Dean on a rant post on Rivals for the bullshit he was spewing about ABM and promoting them even though there were serious issues. I received so many DM's from posters who had similar stories and others of problems that didn't want to share them and in some cases they identified themselves explaining why they couldn't share information on a message board. It was a real eye opener and also got me some great contacts.

I want to see the boosters let Turd do his job. Was tired of the BS that was going on behind closed doors not being made public in the least bit. As a Husker Fan I wanted people to know we had issues holding back our program that weren't being brought up by the media so the common fans had no idea what was going on. The things or "rumors" we have been bringing up for the last couple years got many of us ostracized on boards but now the truth is finally coming out backing up a good portion of those rumors. And I can say that some of these "Rumors" were backed up by my cousins who saw much of this in person with their own eyes. Sometimes it is not what you know but who you know. I'm gonna pass on some information that might be incorrect or a bit off but a vast majority of it has been correct over the Frost years.

Bottom line he didn't win so everybody wants a simple answer for why he didn't win. He didn't work hard enough and partied too much is the simple answer.

Riley didn't win and the simple answer there was that he didn't make his players work hard enough so we were too weak to go against the big strong lines of the B1G.

Frost took over and brought in Duval and each year until this year the lines got stronger and able to hold up against the lines of the B1G.

Then we were too big and strong and not fast enough.

Blah blah blah. Everybody has an answer of how to win in P5 football on the message boards. When in reality there's maybe 50? 100? people in the country that are capable of running a college football program.

Maybe Frosts partying was actually a contributing factor. I don't know. I also don't pretend to know one way or the other.
