We just don't have good beef in Alaska.
Grass-fed from Palmer is our best shot at something palatable.
The weird thing is that we seem to prefer local sirloins over our traditional favorites.
Something about the texture seems closest to corn-fed than a ribeye or New York.

It's kind of like buying King Salmon in Nebraska.

Anybody ever had a steak cooked blue? I have a buddy who swears by it

Blue is my preferred on certain cuts but I will eat up through to med rare. I always order rare at restaurants because people do not usually make them to the correct temp. Either direction from there I am happy.
