How did Bo manage to get so much right during his tenure here?

I thought it was pretty obvious I was being half tongue-in-cheek/half real in the post haha.
I thought you were serious! So I answered seriously.

Other thing about Bo is he needed luck to get to his 9 wins. I'll give you an example: people love the Ron Kellogg Hail Mary win vs Northwestern in 2013.

Want to guess NW's B1G conference record in 2013? Yeah.....it was 1-7. One of Bo's most memorable wins came on a Hail Mary vs a 1-7 B1G team.

I actually think if Bo kept going he'd have the team at 3-9 vs this current B1G. His program would have gotten crushed by the rising tide of the league. There's zero doubt in my mind.

Yeah I think he would've had his faceplant moment at some point for sure, and forget about him ever even entertaining coaching in the NIL era haha it would be a disaster.

My main point is it's just a bummer that we were in the conversation for conference championships during his tenure, those seasons were so (relatively) fun and interesting compared to every season being the same ever since, and we probably never will be even at that "good but not good enough" level again.

Problem is, we won't have the advantages we had with Bo ever again. Nebraska had a huge resource $$ advantage over 60% of the B1G bc those programs just flat out didn't care about football. Bo didn't get to 9-3 by merit. He got there bc 1/2 the teams on his schedule every year just didn't give a fuck about football and if they did they had no means to generate $$ for it. And even with that, Bo needed all kind of 4th Q escapes, Hail Mary's, Ameer late KR TDs, etc to get to his 9 wins.

CFB now will be like rooting for the Bears or Vikings or Chiefs. Your team is gonna lose 35-60% of its games. In good seasons it will only be 20%. NFL fans still have fun. They still love watching their teams. It's OK! Things are gonna be alright.

But there is no use pining for the 2013 B1G where 6 of the 14 team university admins literally did not know their school even had a football team. It's over man!

I completely believe this
By the end we were needing Hail Marys to beat 1-7 B1G teams (2013 NW).....we were needing late miracle KR TDs from Ameer to beat McNeese St...and on and on.

Bo would have gotten smoked by the Bielemas/Brohms/Flecks of the lower B1G. And those were the programs he feasted on in his NU B1G yrs. He also got Michigan in the Brady Hoke yrs. Cockeye is way better as a program now vs 2011-2014. Bo also got 2 yrs of Rutgers
/Maryland where they were on par with bad FCS programs.

Anyone that thinks Pelini would win 9 games in this B1G is a literal moron.
