First of all, please give a huge thank you to @alt f4. He not only provides us with juicy practice nuggets, he has also put in a ton of work with fixing our website issues. He’s the man.

We are almost done with moving everything over to our new host. Everything seems to be working well over there, now we just need to get all of the board data, the SSL certificate, and the domain names transferred over.

In order to get everything over, we will need to shut down the board briefly. We are planning to do this tomorrow afternoon. If all goes well, it will only be down for 15-20 minutes. If we hit a snag it may be 45-60 minutes max.

I’m super excited to be on the new host. There should be no more connection problems and the board should run smoother and faster as well. Thanks @alt f4 !!

Yes you guys will have to talk to family or take a nap a walk or take a few shots, but you'll survive. I've already talked with Turd, he's not announcing tomorrow, not really, haven't talked with him yet.

A few items to be aware of so you're not shocked.
1. The domain name will switch over temporarily tomorrow to platinum-board.com right after I'm completed with database transfer. You will automatically redirected to the temp domain name if you go to theplatinumbaord.com, no need to type it in.
2. You will have to log back in, but all account information will be brought over and passwords will remain the same.
3. I'm hoping by locking down the board for during the database transfer, I can avoid any losing posts, likes, or messages.
4. The domain name will switch back over to theplatinumboard.com automatically and platinum-board.com will redirect automatically to theplatinumboard.com. You might have to log back in at this time as well.

I'm trying to make the transition as smooth as possible for the board with limited interruption.

I've tried to join the Discord thing in the past few days. You wouldn't believe how many squirrels I had to click, or how many times I had to claim I'm not a robot. It might be that I'm on a company laptop, but I'm not on VPN, so maybe not? I still can't get in, and I'm not sure if I care that much.

I'd rather be miserable and shout at the TV by myself than read the thoughts of a bunch of other people who are at least as miserable as me, if not more miserable, in real time. For fuck sake, often others would point out things that I hadn't noticed that would only me make me more miserable.

Edit: For sure @Baron Winnebago is more miserable than me because of nihilism.
