Kids sophomore reserve team played Millard North tonight. You'd have thought it was the National Championship. One guy in particular (whose son got ejected from the game for fighting surprise surprise) was yelling at pretty much everybody. Refs, prep players/coaches, even fans. Was pretty crazy.

I was at one of my nephews 1st grade flag football games a few weeks back and you would have thought it was the damn Super Bowl the way some of these dads were acting. My brother helps coach and him and I were like JFC these kids don't even know were to line up yet and these dads are yelling and acting like a bunch of dumbasses. My brother use to help ref and coach kids games with my cousins husband a few years ago and gave it up because of all the bullshit with the parents. I told him him better get used to it now because my nephew is a big athletic kid who likes to play sports already, he looks like a first grade version of the Polar Bear out there already, so I hope he sticks with it.

I remember my buddy's Dad got kicked off city property by the police cuz he was yelling at the baseball team so bad... so he left the ballpark and walked across the street and climbed a grain bin and kept yelling.

Another time our NT's Mom got in a fist fight with another mother of a player ON OUR OWN TEAM. This dude's mom used to drink Diet Coke straight out of the 2L bottle and chain smoke Cigs all game.... she won the fight.

Also once when I was in high school I had a guy come up to me at Kwik Shop and tell me he had bet his paycheck on us to beat Auburn.... we did not beat them. (they won C1 State title that year)


basically everyday is the scene from Friday Night Lights where white trash people in town will NEVER put down the year book or the letter jacket
