You've got a solid 8-10 years assuming you stop at 2. After that Christmas sucks again.

Kids 4-7 +/- a few years make Christmas the best.

All of the Vacation movies after the original were a bit overrated.

They all had some memorable moments but tough to follow a classic. No way they can touch the original.
