...a real coach on the field... Myles McLaughlin.

McLaughlin has run for 4,396 yards and 67 touchdowns in 11 games this year. Plays for the Knox Redskins who just won their 4th consecutive sectional title. Class 3A, Indiana football. School has about 600 kids.

My daughter's High School played them earlier this year and "held" him to 270 yards and six touchdowns which was his lowest yardage total of the year. He also had an 80 yard touchdown run called back in the game due to penalty. He has now broken the Indiana State all-time rushing record and it's quite likely he will break the all-time high school single-season rushing record next week.

Listed at 5'10, 190 lbs. I would guess he's probably 5'8, but built solid and may be 190. Plays both ways (QB / S). Really patient, really good vision, great balance, decent speed. I'm rooting for him.

Does Cignetti want him?
I think he may have a low level D1 interest and several D2 offers but I don't think IU is in the picture at all. It would not shock me if he ended up at a MAC school.... maybe Ball State. He's playing a lot of small schools, and absolutely getting punished for the lack of competition. 247 doesn't even have him ranked.

He's not a burner either. Max Preps shows him as a 4.5 40 guy, but that's probably generous like most HS 40s.

Kid's body is going to shut down on him.

He had nearly 1100 rushing attempts and close to 200 tackles in high school.
He does not seem to tire. They line him up in shotgun at QB and just run him over and over. Half the time they don't even line up a back, next to him, but essentially lead with two backs, two TEs and one WR. He's thrown 20 passes all year in 11 games. They didn't throw once against us.

His vision and lateral quickness is unbelievable. I honestly think he ends up at a power conference program in 3 or 4 years.

I would seriously offer him.

I hope somebody takes a chance on him. It's surprising the services don't even have him rated as far as I can tell. You're definitely right about his vision and he is a very patient runner. It was honestly hard to tell how fast he was when I saw him play in person given the competition, but he isn't slow and has burst. He played every down for them and I'm pretty positive he kicked extra points when they tried them too.
