It might have been better to wait a couple weeks. By that time the enrollment deadline for the spring semester would have passed so even though the Bama players could have entered the portal, their options on where to go would have been limited. Although as mentioned above, there's another portal season after spring ball anyway

At the end of the week Michigan could be in the same situation, but they will be fine short term with Moore taking over. I hope Moore beats Day next year and gets him fired. It's pretty simple, after the season Saban decided that he couldn't do it another year and retired. It doesn't happen that often as not many coaches retire, most are fired and can't get another job.

It's pretty simple, after the season Saban decided that he couldn't do it another year and retired. It doesn't happen that often as not many coaches retire, most are fired and can't get another job.

Announce before the playoffs at least. Don’t pretend it would be a distraction, if anything would be motivation.
