I'm actually concerned for this guy's mental health at this point. He's implying that Dave Aranda is scheduling regular time out of his day to provide regular coaching tips to an acting HC at a competing school.

Out of all the bat shit crazy things that Genetics56 has said, this one might be the craziest. And most inflammatory. If that were true, that'd almost be grounds for dismissal. Baylor is paying Aranda $5m/yr to lead their program. No coach would do this (a) bc they wouldn't have time and (b) that'd be reprimanded if the university ever found out.

My guess is those guys maybe talk to Aranda 5 min/week as friends. Like they probably talk to 10 other coaching friends they know. This guy really takes some liberties in his "breaking news."

No I assure you, there's no WAY this is true. Even if it was partially true I would feel bad for Aranda, that this idiot is blabbing about it. Thankfully he only has 2500 followers. But there's no way he'd be providing regular consulting. Absolutely not.

No P5 HC would ever have time for this or would ever be motivated to do this in-season. Daily unpaid consulting like this is disrespectful to your current team (that pays you $5m/yr) and might actually be a violation of the HC's contract.

I'd actually lose a bit of respect for Aranda if he was doing this. But he's not, so we don't have to worry about it. That's why I said initially that this is literally the most inflammatory fiction Genetics man has ever made up. That's the kind of dirt you'd throw out if you wanted to bury a guy. It's a gray area for sure. It's usually at odd times. He's saying though that those 3 have a regular call every morning at 5am, M-F. If I were Baylor, I'd have a problem with that. Baylor's paying him $5m/yr for his expertise, they're not paying him to shadow-run another school's interim staff.

But I agree, it's not something you can police if your Baylor. It'd be something you'd feed the media if you were trying to get rid of a HC though bc the fans would not approve (if a guy is losing games).

The reality: those guys probably talk for 5 min 1-2 times a week bc they have a friendship. I think a standing consultation call at 5am every day is ludicrous. No way that's true.
