Agreed. There was a teacher in my HS who was rumored to bang a lot of jocks. Unfortunately, I was in junior high while she was active.
Yup, “paper trails” with these God damn cell phones.
There was a Physics teacher when I was in HS. I know she wanted to fuck (I think). But, I was so intimidated by her Brigitte Nielsen haircut I shied away.

I think it's a combination of a couple of things. Technology (they couldn't really send you nude pics or videos, etc..) that could get out. There was no texting, so no record of those kinds of conversations.
Age - it seems like there are a lot of "young" teachers at the high school level these days. A lot are within 4-6 years of the same age of the students they are teaching, so it's no surprise that they don't see the student as "off limits".

In the 80’s, it was difficult to even see a woman naked anywhere; photos, movies, whatever. If you had a sweet arrangement with a teacher, you would never mess that up.
