Fuente Fired

I'm not sure which way this one cuts. With that many job openings and general uncertainty for asst. coaches (like a guy like Rhett Lashlee at Miami), maybe more opportunities to poach someone.
I just wonder if the really desired offensive guys are more apt to wait and see what other opportunities could arise. Then again if you're offering enough $$ it may not matter.

*gets out his red zone scoring percentage measuring stick*

Virginia Tech checking in at #91...

@Bootleg11 So let's say that Frost had been fired this year, and you were the head coach at some other school and thinking about hiring him to be OC, you wouldn't be concerned about Nebraska's offensive performance this year?

That's a good question. I would take a serious look at Frost as an OC.

I mean every coach that bounced from HC back to OC/DC had some red flags when they were HC. That's why they bounced back.

Interesting name brought up by Bruce Feldman in The Athletic article about FIU replacement options:

Jovan Dewitt, North Carolina outside linebackers coach/special teams coordinator, isn’t a Florida native, unlike most of the men on this list. He’s from Milwaukee and went to Northern Michigan, but has developed a lot of ties down in Florida that could make him a fit, or at least merit consideration, for the head coaching vacancy. He coached at FAU as well as UCF before leaving with Scott Frost for Nebraska.
