He'll make one play a game and be a ghost for the rest of his time. I'm sure the reason why he entered the portal was because he got recruited over and didn't much playing time at TCU if he stayed.

I use to do that at Belmont Racecourse in HS. Show up, collect a paycheck. Put some bets in, hang with the boys. Then pretend I was working when my boss came around
