"Nebraska has everything left to play for."
"Growing pains were expected but they'll come out stronger"
"Media misconstrued Frost's creativity comment"
"Couple little things away from this thing taking off"

The second one is my bet. I’d think there will be a fairly consistent drumbeat for that one.

This is what I anticipate the drum beat to be on On3 this week:
"We just can't be changing coaches every 5 years."

Just like the last 2 years:
"We just can't be changing coaches every 3 years."
"We just can't be changing coaches every 4 years."

Unless it's a guy without NU ties. Those guys you can, and in fact must, fire in 3 or 4 years.

I heard a stat that 2/3 of coaches FBS have been at their jobs less than 5 years. It's just not unusual to turn guys over. What is unusual is keeping a guy working on 4 consecutive losing seasons. It almost never happens, save for an example at Rutgers, Duke, Vanderbilt, Indiana and maybe one or two others I'm forgetting. The fact that this program has talked itself into this position is fucking nonsense.
