Nah. He had already failed. I would have been fine moving on two years ago and then again at the end of last season, but firing him for cause is just something that wasn't going to play well in the media or with future coaching candidates because not a single soul on earth thinks his NCAA violations were bad. And the idea of dragging out the rumored personal shit or making the AD look like a clown show for not monitoring his terrible work habits is untenable.

Cousins have seen him partying up in Valentine quite often, year round. During golfing, hunting and fishing seasons especially and yes during the season. A buddy's family has quite a bit of farmland in Nebraska. The Athletic Department has called him during hunting season to ask for permission for Frost & his buddies to go hunting on it. Chaffed his ass because that was during the recruiting times and one year was right after Scott had fired a bunch of his coaches. He was wondering why Scott was hunting when he should be out recruiting plus interviewing replacement Asst Coaches.

The "Parties" with Gerrod & Boosters on the recruiting visits were on the University's Dime for the most part too. Throw his buddies on the private jet and get wild while calling it a recruiting visit. Some golf, booze, women....... Heard quite a few of these were to Florida & Arizona, which might explain the Raiola/Margarita story.
