Frost as OC at Miami???

Cue the "Oh he's a really good OC, just not a HC" people...
I'll be that dude. He's an offensive genius - his main problems are overthinking/getting too cute, and issues from his personal life affecting his work. For a HC that has the proper oversight & accountability in place, it's easy to see the allure of bringing in a top football mind.

Whether Scott is committed to turning himself around remains to be seen, but plenty of flame-out HCs that can't run a program are still pretty good with the X's & O's.

Not sure he could pick many Power5 schools to coach at that are farther away from his Scottsdale house and family. I would be shocked if he got back into football this quickly because his heart just didn't seem to be into it. Football seems quite a ways down on the Priority List for him. On a positive note it would most likely save the university some coin on his pay out unless they had negotiated that down.

I hate the massager

Why do we think he’s an offensive genius?

His problem was the running the same play over and over again that wouldn’t get any yards no matter what just to set up for a home run later in the game. Worked at Oregon because he had athletes that would get him 5-7 yards on the set up plays and then they would hit home runs off them when the defense would cheat to stop them. Didn’t work with the caliber of players he had at NU.

He looked like a good play caller when he had Mariota and Milton at their peaks.

His strategy at Nebraska of repeatedly throwing horizontal passes to the sidelines for no gain, while running a hurry up offense that couldn’t get a first down, seemed less genius.

Makes a ton of sense given Oregon ties. I think it's probably too soon for him to be back in a high profile job like that, given how shitty he looked towards the end here. It would also be weird to see him with a Miami logo on his shirt.
