Brian Kelly or an NFL guy like Matt Rhule are the only ones I can think of.

There are some quality guys out there…Luke Fickle, Matt Campbell, Jeff Hafley, Mike Houston. I just don’t know if Fickle or Campbell fit in down in Baton Rouge

I like Hafley, but he hasn't markedly improved over Addazio at BC yet.

Now that they’d ge looking at Plan Bs, I wonder if they would kick the tires on Fleck. He has that Mr Show Business personality feel has somehow proved the naysayers wrong at most turns with his coaching. I have a feeling he wouldn’t turn down something that can shine a brighter spotlight on himself.

Bill O’Brien is also still available. Though his stock must have dropped after this week. Also has a square peg, round hole feel to me for the job.

Peej has a losing record in the Big Ten. I feel they’d have to swing and miss on a lot of other people for them to knock on his door.

Maybe. He’s done something at ISI that nobody has ever been able to do. He’s a big culture fit guy. I think he’d be awesome in the Big 10 West

Hell when Heupel bails on the Vols, people will say “you know, Lane really knows the culture there and is a winner now, he’d be a great fit”

Yeah, maybe if Rhule hates he NFL that's a guy you can convince to come back and that's a great hire. Otherwise, yikes. Biggest name on the list left is what, Hugh Freeze? Bill O'Brien? No real slam dunks left. If I'm LSU I probably just take a chance on Lanning and hope he's a dude.

I do think we're seeing a bit of a market correction on SEC craziness. Guys like Luke #2ndChoice, Matt Campbell, Mel Tucker, Dave Clawson, Aranda, ect. should be shoe-ins for jobs like OU or LSU. Why leave a good thing when you know you could get fired in three seasons though? James Franklin had nearly an identical record to Mullen 2018-2021. Mullen got fired. Franklin got a $100 million deal.
