I think he should call it the "Pussy Pod" and only talk about how much of a pussy Eichorst was - he could spend the first 4 episodes breaking down his team meeting at North Star after he was let go

Episode 1 opening: "So coming up today on the Pussy Pod, we are breaking down how much of a PUSSY my AD at Nebraska was"

Episode 2: "Coming up today - we breakdown when I said my AD was nothing more than a Fucking spineless Lawyer that Polices, and can't look people in the eye. After this epidsode we will C U Next Tuesday"

Episode 3: "Today on the Pussy Pod - CUNT! What Eichorst was and always will be. A real fucking CUNT. Let me tell you about it..."

Episode 4: "Why I would rather work at McDonald's than work for Eichorst - That pussy, cunt, fucking lawyer, that has no spine and can't support anyone. We got a wet one today on the Pussy Pod"

Would want an entire series of him just absolutely shitting on Nebraska and venting everything he went through while here.
Bo certainly not afraid to go Postal on Nebraska. A family friend was at Eppley Airfield catching a flight when he ran into Bo after he was fired the first time when Solich's Staff was let go. He actually is a Booster and had met Bo. He walked up to Bo and thanked him for his work with the Nebraska Defenders and wished him the best. Bo went into a profanity laced meltdown saying that he "hated this whole fucking State and hopes he never ever had to step a foot back in Nebraska again". Only to come back to interview and get the Head Coach job at Nebraska after Callahan was fired.

Bo was just Bo. Fiery stubborn hot head that created many of his own problems and drama. I have unfortunately been around quite a few people from Youngstown and I will say they tend to exhibit many of those traits amongst them.

I think Carl was actually good for him when he was around. Seems that Bo got more Toxic behind the scenes when he lost his Wingman Carl. Maybe Carl was the brains behind their success. Gotta be nice having someone like that who you know has your back plus you trust.

I'll just be frank I really enjoyed having Bo as our HC. I was totally fine with the meltdowns honestly. I like a HC with some fire. I wish Frost showed more. I think the right kind of high energy guy gets a team fired up and ready to play for that coach. I understand he did some questionable things but they never bothered me. Shouldn't have fired Frank, shouldn't have fired Bo.

Bo's sideline Antics and outbursts were starting to not only hurt our image but also our recruiting. Bo's outbursts were a regular feature on ESPN and news people were focused on him waiting for his fuse to blow.

I was friends with 4 Star DE Amani Bledsoe's trainer who was also helping Amani handle his recruiting. He flat out told me that Amani had Zero interest in playing for a lunatic like Pelini but enjoyed the visits to Nebraska because he got treated like a King. A friend of mine played for Purdue and his 2 boys were receiving scholarship offers for football. I asked if they had any interest in Nebraska and he said hell would freeze over before he would let them play for someone that acted like Bo Pelini. His reasoning was that if he saw Bo come unglued on one of his boys on the sideline he would go knock Bo out and end up in Jail. A couple of my friends who played for Michigan, KU & Kansas St use to regularly reach out to me about Bo's embarrassing behavior and how it was just a matter of time before a player took a swing at him.

Heck Bo couldn't win at lower level Youngstown St and Frank coaching all those years in the MAC never even won a Conference Title. If they can't win at those lower levels what leads on the believe they could win a Conference Championship in the B1G?

It seems Husker Fans are very fickle and will overlook things with coaches who have ties to Nebraska. Some give Pelini a pass for his temper but chastise Callahan for his outbursts. They loved that Tom Osborne had a calm demeanor and was level headed thus putting him on a pedestal but complain about Riley & Hoiberg not being screamers or emotional coaches. They overlook the poor recruiting by Solich, Frost & Pelini but bash on Riley because the first class that he assembled at the last minute was weak. They overlook the poor game planning and in game management by Solich, Frost & Pelini but bash Callahan for a poorly thought out game plan against KU.

I'm not afraid of change or firing people if they aren't doing their Job well. I don't care if they are a friend or someone I don't like as long as they do their job in an acceptable manner. No favoritism from me. I fired one of my closest friends, and he was my roommate in my house at the time because he was not doing a good job for my business. He wasn't mad as he was an adult and knew he was not doing a good enough job for what he was being paid.

I'll always have my preferences in CFB but can also understand that important people think times have changed and some things should stay in the past. While Nebraska struggles, it's always been my preference that we have people in charge that were around when we were good because they know and saw what worked. Reason for my preference is because anytime there's been an outsider, while we've still been close to the good times, it's gone horrible. Now, obviously the argument is Frost's tenure has gone horrible, so then what's the difference? I don't have that argument anymore. Why I haven't made a fuss about the new hirings and the new twist to the offense, probably being more passing. Cause what can it hurt now?

No, I don't think Frank would have been able to sustain success like the late 90s into '01. I think he would have been Pelini-like in 9 win seasons but get completely bent when it's time for big games. Would we have lived with that for another 15 years because it's Frank? Probably. I assume he still hands the torch to Frost when Frost ready, then who knows what happens from there.

If/when Nebraska somehow gets out of this shit and starts winning again, I won't care how they do it. I just want something consistent again.

Amen, we all want things to turn around so we can start winning. I just struggle with my close minded friends and relatives that think only an incestuous Husker Connections Hire can work. I've watched them hate and bash Callahan & Riley the minute they were hired. Didn't even give them a chance because they are outsiders that won't get it, and that bothers me. I've lived all over the country and Nebraska is a special place to me but the people there are some of the most conservative & stubborn I have ever met. So many are afraid of change, almost petrified of it. Interesting dynamic with my family as the ones who still live in Nebraska want to give Frost as much time as he needs because he is from Nebraska but the ones who have moved out of Nebraska want him fired in hopes of the best possible coach being hired, even if he doesn't have ties to Nebraska.

Bob Devaney was an outsider and he turned our program around. Bob Stoops was an outsider and he turned Oklahoma around. Urban Meyer was an outsider at numerous schools (Utah, Florida, Ohio St) and he turned things around. Pete Carrol was an outsider at USC and he took them from a joke to the top. IMHO we just need the best coach/leader that Nebraska can get because we have the fan support, tradition, facilities, academic support, AD, conference..... just need the right Leader who can Coach, develop, recruit and put together a qualified balanced staff. GBR

Great points. I don't think it's only Huskers that can make it work honestly. Tough to explain answer but I feel like it's important RIGHT NOW to have someone with familiarity, like Frost, just due to where we're at in history. I'm fully aware that Scott Frost will not be our Head Coach forever just like TO was never going to be the HC forever. Whether it's his choice or not, there will be a day where there will be another name. Right now, I lean towards stability with familiarity. I say that because I don't want lightning in a bottle and then a coach moving on to greener pastures. Give me Frost hopefully turning it around on solid footing, and then handing the keys to someone who can continue it. Like a Stoops to Riley example, but I don't care if it's in house or not. I'm not willing to ride with Frost forever. If this is another 6-6 or less, time to move on. I would like some coaches to find a way to stay, but it's time for something new again. I initially said I'd give the full 7 years to see, but I never expected to happen what has happened.

Sometimes the meltdowns were ok in the right situation for me. What really annoyed me was all the people who always bitched that Callahan didn't show any emotion. Then they loved Bo's passion when he was hired. They then forgot about liking it and hated him for it at the end. My MIL was especially bad.

Yeah that can’t change with the wind or with wins and losses. I like a combo of both. Gimme the guy whose calm in stressful situations, then celebrates with his players when coming out on top. The only guy i wouldn’t have played for is Riley. The hip hip hooray thing made me sick. Which is sad cause I’d do almost anything to wear that N on my helmet, even at almost 30
