Super slow. Who cares
I wouldn't write him off just yet. His NIL is still based on limited playing time & not as a (possible) featured back.
Rhule & Holgorsen have some decisions to make.
Is that why they would never name a #1 RB? Money? If so college sports are truly dead. It never occurred to me that there were those kinds of games being played with NIL. Shows how fucking naive I still am. It's actually pretty disgusting the more I think about it. So a coachs' hands are tied when it comes to playing time when a player emerges over a higher paid player? "Well shit we think player X is playing better than player Y but if we play player X more we have to pay him more $$$" I'm guessing this is why the WR rotation was pretty much non existent too. RIde or die with the guys making the most money. And we pretty much died with Neyor.I wouldn't write him off just yet. Is this why special teams suck donkey balls? We'd have to pay players more if they played on ST's too?
What the fuck are
I’m curious about something. When a player like EJ tells coaches they are entering the portal, is there an attempt to change their mind? Is more NIL offered? Or do coaches play a longer game and see who might pop up in the portal? This is correct. I think we’ll have a chance to recruit him back. We’ll see.
You literally said his NIL is not that of a feature back. Implying quite heavily that there are pay structures based on playing time/production. I doubt this system applies only to running backs. Seems pretty self evident. How that escapes you is also mind numbingHow you came up with this off of my response is truly mind numbing.

Sure and we don't want to pay him more and it seems they never have wanted to pay him more. The fact that we don't pay Emmett "starting" money speaks volumes about all of it.Starters make more than backups.
Backups make more than 3rd stringers.
3rd stringers....
Walk-ons....
This isn't rocket science FFS. Johnson wants a bigger payday.

He didn’t imply, you inferred. Big difference. So big in fact that you completely inverted cause and effect. It’s not that he had to be a backup because of his pay. He was getting paid like a backup because he was a backup. You literally said his NIL is not that of a feature back. Deals are made a year in advance for returning players. Who said NU isn't going to pay him more?
FFS, I said it's not over. As of my response, he hadn't met with anyone in Lincoln yet. Meetings are (were) scheduled for late this week in to next week.
