I get their logic, but AP polls are not going to determine what teams fans’ buy the most copies of the game…

Hmm. Seems odd that Iow.a would deserve 10 times as much royalties as Nebraska. Good thing for them they used AP ranking finishes and not TV ratings, which I think would be more directly related to game sales.

And is this just for payments to the schools that is separate from payments to athletes? I thought I read each athlete featured got $600 and a free copy of the game.

I believe it’s just what will be paid to schools. I ready recently it’s still $600 per player. Not sure if cover athletes get more or not.

I think Cockeye needs to be like 2 or 3 they don't have a good enough offense for tier 1.
