Might also be an opportunity for Rhule to take a hard look at his offense as he tries to attract qb talent. It’s been mediocre for three years across two different OCs.
I think we know what Rhule wants to do. Problem is, he picked the wrong guy in season 1 (Sims). And then in season 2-3 he kind of had his hand forced bc he absolutely had to take Dylan Raiola even though it was a diversion from the direction he wanted the offense to go.

You can kind of see what Rhule likes in what he THOUGHT he was getting in Jeff Sims. I think Rhule likes a run-heavy, ball control offense that had a QB that distributes and can extend drives with his feet. The statue 1990s NFL QB was not what Rhule/Dana want for the offense. But again you had to take DR.

I think Lateef & Trae are the prototypes for what they want.

If this were true he’d have hired a run-first OC.

0 for 2 in that respect.

Rhule himself is a finesse softy. This team is built in his image.

Are you one of those idiots that thinks Holgorsen still runs the air raid? LOL Dana said himself he was kicked out of the air raid club over a decade ago. He's been very run heavy for a long time now.

DH had a shitty hand in that he had to call winning plays with a statue QB, mediocre OL and until midway through this yr, not an elite rushing attack. DH BTW was the one who believed in Emmet Johnson and recommended we pay to keep him this year.

I actually think Holgorsen is TOO run heavy for my tastes.

No. I’m one who thinks Rhule both doesn’t know how to run a physical football program and has no desire/conviction to do what it takes to run a physical football program.

Dana’s hiring underscores it.

Newsflash: what coaches say means a hell of a lot less than what coaches do.

Carolina? LOL

I don’t begrudge him leaving. I do begrudge them leaking a story before the Cockeye game, if that’s what happened.

The Raiolas don’t need a story on cbs social to drum up interest in Dylan. They have an agent for that.

Shit, all he has to do is post to Twitter at 3:00 pm central Friday if it’s so important to let the world know.

Dom’s seemed to make it pretty clear that his own family is the only thing that matters to him

Maybe they can take a page out of the Kiffin playbook and we can get a story tomorrow about the Raiolas touring the U and Eugene.
