Chap GBT was used to research the below data and compile it for me. I'll admit I was to lazy to do it myself when I knew I could get it done instantly:
Below is a ranked table showing college football programs with the most head-coach firings over roughly the last 20
seasons (≈2005–2025), including the number of firings and the names of the fired head coaches.
⚠ Important caveats (please read):
*This counts true firings or dismissals under pressure, not voluntary retirements or clean exits to other jobs.
*Interim coaches are excluded unless they were formally hired and later fired.
*Exact totals can vary slightly by interpretation, but this reflects consensus historical reporting and is commonly used in coaching-turnover analyses.

Well, I guess we make bad decisions and also aren't afraid to fire. To be third out of 135+ is both embarrassing and hopeful.
