Disheartening

Usage & Dylan is in his head/afraid to throw downfield to anyone other than neyor/banks
Jalen isn’t getting as many snaps & last yr tge long ball off qb run game was pretty much our only chance to score
1 game of DH calling plays & Bonner/Lloyd usage goes up
All that crap that wouldn’t work with Fidone bc he can’t move was called for Bonner
Hes massively been under utilized
Bonner is going to have a really good finish to the yr

It’s clear to me that Holgerson likes what he sees from certain players given the usage of them. Emmett Johnson and Bonner are two examples.

Are you saying Barney shouldn’t touch the ball more than Lloyd?

Is there a chance that Lloyd just isn’t good enough in the areas we need him to be?
I don't think the delta between the two players is reflective in their targets - they've made getting Barney involved an emphasis and I don't necessarily disagree with the staff that it will pay dividends in recruiting/retaining

I’m not sure comparing the two players is wise. I don’t think Lloyd can do what Barney does.

I do find it funny how a lot of people on here are already saying Raiola is a bust when he's a true freshman. Be patient, he will be a top 3-5 QB in College Football next year.
For me the frustration is much more around the regression throughout the course of the season, which is likely more on poor corrective coaching than anything else. I don't feel any different about his potential.

I'd add that there isn't a great QB out there that does it on his own and Raiola appears to be having to shoulder the load. There isn't a go-to skill guy on the team that defenses need to focus on, no consistent running game, and we're starting over with a new OC. For Raiola to reach his potential, all that shit needs to level up.

Good points. DR is shouldering a lot of this. Imagine how different his first year would be if he had an all-b1g quality RB to lean on. Or even a Devine Ozigbo 3rd team, honorable mention B1G RB. Or even a Stanley Morgan level reliable WR target. He has neither.

They are morons. There’s no talking them out of their hate for him as a 5th year senior.
