That is why I think you simplify it and let them be athletes.

Based on losing a 2nd round pick (CTB), one guy who made a roster as an UDFA, and two guys who didn't, shouldn't have been that big of a drop off.

There's no way our defense is as bad (talent wise) as we've seen against NW and Georgia Southern.

Colton Feist is starting up front. And Ty Robinson has looked a lot like Colton Feist starting up front. Which makes your ILB's really bad. That's the first problem.

The 2nd problem is the secondary has not landed on 4 guys that can consistently do anything right.

The 3rd problem is than Nelson and Tannor have not been what we (or maybe just me) thought they would be.

I'd disagree, personally. I thought they both looked quite a bit better last season and was hoping for another jump this year.
