I’d say my hatred towards Dean was a slow burn to start. I desperately wanted to believe his pre-season hype every year, only to be like someone with Battered Wife Syndrome—get my hopes beat to shit, kept going back and expecting things to be different.
What finally did it, after years of degradation site-wide, wasn’t him letting Nate go—it was him saying Frost asked for advice on scholarship numbers. After I read that stupidity, ‘Oh what the fuck ever’ came out of my mouth and fully lost any desire to ever read that dude’s thoughts again.

Even if Frost did ask him, I’d likely not report that in fear of looking stupid.
Still I think the most eye rolling one was when he said in March of 2018 that Frost’s culture was established.

This is the impression I get.
He may be a Goober with a big RSS ego, but he strikes me as a pretty good guy. He's had to make a decision on what persona he wants to exhibit on RSS. Does he take the big shot, defensive approach and give the appearance of a big ego -- that half the time doesn't know what he's talking about? Or does he take the passive approach and not puff out his chest and/or correct others when they call him out? He'd probably be chastised either way, but that comes with the territory.

@Jim14510 has the best story about him when they saw each other at a mutual friends wedding. It’s his story to tell, but if he refuses I’ve got no issue stealing his thunder.

I was having lunch at Gate 25 (not code for anything I promise) the day they called off the state basketball tournament in 2020 and I ran into him while he was covering a baseball game. I told him I was a scroller and he acted really weird. Almost intimidated. Really passive. Kind of a weird exchange. You’d think a dude who’s run a site like his for years would chop it up with a customer a little bit and it’s not like if I told him what my handle was he would only recognize me as a lurker.
