Sign Up Now!Is it OK if I reply to this post on my $800 phone? 😎Good for him. Gotta wonder how many of these athletes will still stand up, say America/capitalism is bad…and still want to crap on the patriarchy?
we want more social programs and America is racist…while Checking Opendorse for their latest capitalistic cash flow, drinking Starbucks on a $1,000 phone, wearing $300 pair of shoes.
Kind of trying to stir the pot and kind of serious.
…and yea I am a capitalist pig who can’t waits to see all this get out of hand.
crazy how in a half day of NIL 50% of my twitter feed is of college athletes hocking a product.
Dean-o needs to do his part and open the war chest. We all need to do our part. Let us start a "marketing firm" and achieve greatness with these young men.
The market will correct to what this entire push was designed for… businesses acting as a front to funnel large sums of cash from boosters to certain players.
Blows my mind that some people and businesses apparently think this is for actual advertising.
Businesses will quickly realize paying these 18-22 year old idiots huge sums of money doesn’t drive up brand engagement or increase traffic to their website/physical stores.
Ex: Lexi Sun has 13,000 Twitter followers. Her first tweet for whatever clothing company got 195 RT… ain’t no way in hell businesses are gonna waste advertising dollars on shit like that.

The system will quickly put the NCAA and their Liberal Federal overlords into a pickle because other than the Lexi Sun unicorns of the world no women’s athlete is gonna get paid. Title IX women’s scholarships for minor niche sports are nice… but I’m guessing the backup QB is gonna be making around $50,000 a year and some people are gonna pretend like it’s unfair. Just look at the women’s national soccer team.
I think we’ll see fairly quickly that most advertisers will find that this isn’t a great investment if that’s what they are looking for. It’s great for the local car shop in a kids town. But nationally there can’t be more than like 4 players that are recognizableBlows my mind that some people and businesses apparently think this is for actual advertising.

It'll mostly be small potatoes in local college towns. Some athletes with huge followings on social media will be able to cash in, some surefire pros will be able to cash in, but the world will keep on turning more or less how it always hasI think we’ll see fairly quickly that most advertisers will find that this isn’t a great investment if that’s what they are looking for.
