I heard multiple times he is an athletic freak, just couldn't get on the field. As someone else said in this thread, when injuries happen at your position. And you have a walk on and a true freshman listed on the depth chart and you're not. I totally get wanting to move on. Need spots to open up anyway.

Knew it was ominous for him. Didn't really produce in his one year at JUCO. Got passed up on the depth chart by Hartzog, Hill, Lynum and Bootle. Apparently couldn't really play safety either. I expected him to wait until after the season though.
