Dawgs In The Corn

I think CU sometimes plays that as well.
Really? Auburn stole it, I think in the 90s and use it to spell out their name. Not sure they've spelled it right yet, but it's a work in progress. It was a shame and setback to higher learning for them when their Athletic library burned down, and most of the books hadn't been colored in yet. -Spurrier

always good seeing you postin late nite while you graciously lug your ballsac over the cornfields of tPB

I’m pretty jacked for that late November SEC tilt vs UMass. It just means more to both teams at that point in the season👌🏼
Dawgs have Texas, Bama, Ole Piss, Ga Tech, TN games. Got to mix in a Marshall in there especially when an ACC team cancels game against ya. You gonna go to the Nebraska v Akron game this year or saving up for the barn burner against Houston Christian (ggod for them getting enough cheerleaders together to form a football team).

Sounds like a good argument to cut back to 7 SECC games.

The 9 game argument was always just covering by B1G for the fact of their crazy expansion. "We made a mistake and grew too big and mad SEC didn't so call em soft for toughest schedules in CFB to cover."

I'll add to that. Which B1G team would willingly trade schedules with UGA? If getting to playoff and staying healthy as possible is only concern the Kirby would trade in a heartbeat with any B1G's team's schedule. I like regular season, so I want the Bama, TX, Miss, TN, GaTech games. There has to be a balance for them though, so good with UGA not adding Mizzou or Cocks or whomever to it. If Natty was end all for me as a fan though, give me any B1G's, B12, or ACC schedule.

I wasn't a huge fan of going to 9 conference games, but it was largely because of the TV/media rights deal & inventory for that - not necessarily expansion.

RE; getting healthy, the SEC has that handy little get-right, low-effort game against an FCS team week 11, so that's a built-in semi bye week right before the postseason grind starts, where the B1G has their tune-up games early, then no breaks 'till the season's over.

I'd be just as fine with everyone going to 8 conference games as I would with the SEC going to 9, but mainly it's a little ridiculous to have the different setups when we're most of the way to a pro-style model.

SEC ends regular season with traditional rival games. So Iron Bowl, Clean Old Fashioned Hate (was a cupcake until recently-8 overtimes for Dawgs to win it last year), FU and FSU and so on. Again, season's grind is what determines health and not last couple games. Also, if I'm wanting Dawgs to be healthier at season's end then give me tOSU's schedule this year or Oregon's.

I think we'll see B1G and SEC ending up with same number conference game schedules here in near future. I'm just not waving conference flag, and instead pushing back on @lee_carvallo_12 's B1G flag waving and empty argument. If SEC was full of crappy teams that Lee thought wouldn't stand a chance against B1G then he wouldn't care. Nobody is crying about how easy Big12 schedules are or how easy Clemson has always had it to get to playoffs.

First off, hoping UGA gets back to some of it's RBU roots, but really really hoping this kid has a great year. He's one of those reps the G well players, and to my knowledge hasn't gone more than 5 mph over the limit in his car. Keep an eye out this year when #3 gets the ball.
