Minnesota has only been held under 150 yards rushing 8 times since the start of the 2019 season. They were 1-7 in those games. That one win was over Syracuse when they ran the ball 33 times for 77 yards.

Ironically, vs. Nebraska in 2021, Minnesota only had 108 yards rushing with 4 minutes remaining in the game. They ran for 74 yards on their final drive capped off by a 56 yard TD run.

That was the game where Minnesota totalled 62 yards and 2 total 1st downs on 36 and snaps from the start of the 3rd quarter until the 4 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Nebraska totalled 220 yards during that span and had the football inside the Minnesota 25 yard line 4 times.

The Huskers only outscored the Gophers 7-2 during that timespan. Pretty much Peak Frost Era football at Nebraska.

Yeah, everything I have read about White is his defense is stopping the run is priority #1.

I think the exact wordage was "he doesn't care if he gives up 400 yards passing he wants to stop the run....." Probably a healthy amount of hyperbole, but the point was made.
