From my list (and I'll try to share the doc in another post below) I have us currently at 90 scholarships.

I have not removed anybody that may have "walked" i.e. Wyatt Leiwer, but we know that some of the schollies won't roll over.
I still have Wynden O'Huli-Hometohawaii listed depsite the rumors and will remove him once it's official.
We are also hosting an OV from HS RB Ajay Allen and you have to think that he is wanted because of the late visit and following his RB coach. (Putting us at 91)

We are gonna need to see some attrition and dudes hitting the portal to get the numbers where they need to be. Could be soon / Could be spring.

Here is my speculation.....

Any random WR: The room is looking tight for spots and even tighter for playing time. I could see Alante Brown, Oliver Martin or Kamonte Grimes just bail. Plus Zavier Betts seems to be a headcase sometimes and could just pull a surprise move. There will always be a transfer that doesn't seem to make sense.

A RB will leave especially if we take Allen: Stepp and Ervin could be medicals. Yant could be attitude. Yant is maybe he keeps it/ maybe he is a walk on again with his schollie status, the info is mixed.

-WR/RB Will Nixon: I think his position of Duck - R has been eliminated by bringing in Whipple. He isn't a RB so he will have to get into the WR mix? Seems like a tough spot. Talented dude who I wish we could've used but the injury set him back. Bad luck.

-OLB Javin Wright: Medical. Risk factor with blood clots might prove to great. Too bad because we have all seen the talent from the spring game.

-P Daniel Cerni: We are hearing medical and he has been replaced and the guy who recruited him left and he sucked.

-DE Tate Wildeman: No reason to keep dead wood on the team. Hasn't done anything since arriving. Process.

-LB Eteva Mauga-Clements: Seems like an OK guy. Log jam at his spot. Unless he is happy with ST duty only. I doubt that so maybe he looks for something else.

-QB: Logan Smothers seems the obvious choice. I also think there is a chance that Hunter Haarberg Helmsley gets bounced too. So one or the other. I mean doesn't LS have to say F it if they literally went out and scoured the nation looking for TWO OTHER FUCKING GUYS?

-DB - Taymon Lynum: It seems that we have recruited over him, behind him and under him.

It is also possible (like every year) that we have new HS guys that don't qualify. I have my eye on OL Justin Evan-Jenkins. For some reason his recruitment wasn't really heavy, he visited PSU and then nowhere for a long time, suddenly Nebraska is there with an offer, so I wonder if grades were an issue. (You can cancel my speculation there, another poster who pays more attention than I do has pointed out that Justin is an early enrollee and on campus already. Good job, Justin. Way to hit the books, buddy) Also have my eye on Brodie Tagaloa since coach T left. He could end up being one of those dudes that opts out before ever even hitting Lincoln.

OL - I think the new coach is going to clean the room out. Just a hunch. Could include Brant Banks (unlikely), Ethan Piper (Maybe), Michael Lynn (who?) and Trent Hixson (to me probably) I also wouldn't be shocked if Bryce Benhart was out. Either that or he has to be moved to guard before he gets someone in the QB room killed.

DBs - I also think a random name from the upper part of the DB list could go. Maybe CB Braxton Clark or CB Tyreke Johnson. S Noa Pola- Gates seems undersized and has never flashed anything in a game. Could be a make or break spring for him. The room is packed now and playing time might not be there even for dudes who have been here a bit.

Obviously it won't be all of the names I listed but something has to happen.

Thoughts? Ideas? Anyone got some other info to share?

Here is the chart I update as news comes in. Originally shared with me by Parker Gabriel of the LJS. Not savvy enough to figure out how to just share it as a picture.

The *redshirt status stuff will definitely now be out of whack because of all the transfers in and out. That is gonna take some work to get accurate.

I could see Oliver Martin just hanging it up. He just didn't seem to have a ton of want to anymore.

I've never gotten the headcase vibe about Betts. He struggled with grades but otherwise has always been reported as a good kid.

Agreed on RBs.

Mauga-Clements is suddenly in the two deep with Honas gone. I doubt he leaves.

I'd be surprised if any QB leaves before spring ball is over. And Haarberg isn't going anywhere. A guy with his tools is what QB guys like Whipple dream of.

If I were to take a wild guess at guys that'll leave between now and next fall I'd say:
Myles Farmer
Tamon Lynum
Will Nixon
Markese Stepp
Javin Wright
Michael Lynn
Alex Conn
Oliver Martin
Tate Wildeman

I could see Farmer getting passed up on the depth chart and leaving after spring. Of course injuries (which will happen) will play a role in all of this too. Plus there will be more transfers in this summer, I assume. Supposedly we are still taking RB Deondre Jackson for example.

I'd be surprised if Jackson ends up here as a scholly guy. I think Farmer got recruited over pretty hard and wouldn't be surprised if Buford or Johnson move back to safety as well.

Tyreke Johnson I highly doubt would transfer again unless he really hates it here. He would have to sit out a year if he transfers again since he used his one-time free transfer (unless he is able to graduate in the Spring).

they're saying wynden ho'ohuli is out on 247... mostly due to tony t. heading out to oregon.
