This kid has 35 career turnovers. He should be a slot receiver as he's a great athlete, but I doubt he will be a good QB in the Big Ten.

Not a big deal he’s gotten better and he’s our Johnny FootballThis kid has 35 career turnovers. He should be a slot receiver as he's a great athlete, but I doubt he will be a good QB in the Big Ten.
I had this same thought. That strategy worked GREAT at his previous stops because back then, there was not a free-reign transfer portal. That strategy only works if you can take your 6’4”, 230 lb track guy who sucks at football and spend 3-4 years developing him before expecting him to contribute.100% agree.
I'm probably reaching with this one but I actually think the success of Emmet Johnson this year might have changed Rhule too. EJ of course the stud HS recruit but was too undersized so no big programs wanted him. Nebraska amazingly recruited him anyway.
I don't think Rhule probably saw much in EJ when he got here. Barthel had him at 4th string. They were gonna let him walk until Holgorsen said you gotta keep this kid. And he turned into an All-American.
Remember Rhule is also the guy obsessed with track times too (the measurables). Sometimes you have to just trust your eyes and pick the baller who can make plays, and worry less about the measurables.
He also only threw three more interceptions than Raiola did last year. We’re getting the senior version of him, not the sophomore version. This kid has 35 career turnovers. He should be a slot receiver as he's a great athlete, but I doubt he will be a good QB in the Big Ten.
And played more games doing it. Although the competition was less.He also only threw three more interceptions than Raiola did last year. We’re getting the senior version of him, not the sophomore version.
I'm skeptical too, but I immediately think it's better than LaQueef. I would like to bring in one more QB.This kid has 35 career turnovers. He should be a slot receiver as he's a great athlete, but I doubt he will be a good QB in the Big Ten.
Yeah give me a dude who lit it up in a lower level as the 3rd Qb. I loved Chambliss this year & although I know it’s not very likely, maybe we get lucky and get our version of it.I'm skeptical too, but I immediately think it's better than LaQueef. I would like to bring in one more QB.
My gawd, I hope so. That's the best nickname for an unpredictable QB ever.Do they really call him the whoopsy daisy king
Nope - we got our throwback qb. Spend $$$ on the linesI'm skeptical too, but I immediately think it's better than LaQueef. I would like to bring in one more QB.
being a Nebraska fan, you've already read it, given that all co-pilot does is aggregate what it finds on the internetI'd be interested what Raiola's says.
We already have enough OL. The only position of need in the trenches is DL.Nope - we got our throwback qb. Spend $$$ on the lines
The guy’s pull out game must need some workDo they really call him the whoopsy daisy king
Reverse jinx kiss of death from Corn - we’re gonna have 1 of the best QBs in the BIG next year boys!!!This kid has 35 career turnovers. He should be a slot receiver as he's a great athlete, but I doubt he will be a good QB in the Big Ten.
So… God forbid AC goes down the 3rd game of the season you want to ride with TJ and Soukop for the rest of the year? With the knowledge that TJ is slight of build and would have missed time this last season from an injury had he not gotten a month to recover between games? You are willing to roll the dice on potentially having Soukop start a game in the above scenario so that we can redirect $300k to the lines?Nope - we got our throwback qb. Spend $$$ on the lines
I'm sure we'll pick up an EBUQ (emergency back up quarterback, to revise a hockey term) out of the gazillion QBs in the portal. Eg, some guy with starting experience at the FCS or D2 level. It will be next to impossible to persuade a 3rd real QB there is a meaningful chance of PT here, I think. So… God forbid AC goes down the 3rd game of the season you want to ride with TJ and Soukop for the rest of the year? Braden Atkinson would be really nice and you have to be able to get him on the cheap. What do you make at Mercer? 50k? Go to him with half a milly and lock him up.I'm sure we'll pick up an EBUQ (emergency back up quarterback, to revise a hockey term) out of the gazillion QBs in the portal. Yes I sure hope so, this is what I’m saying and debating in support of. Maybe I’m way off and $300k for a qb of that talent level is high and we can convince a guy like that to just come and get a free education from a B1G school with a little spending money thrown in. I’ve no idea what/if we were paying Gramstad for example?I'm sure we'll pick up an EBUQ (emergency back up quarterback, to revise a hockey term).out of the gazillion QBs in the portal.
