Didn’t this same call happen to us with Pierson-el against Michigan state under bo in the rain?

Yep, I was about to mention the time it happened to DPE. He was waving guys off and calling "Peter Peter" - ie clear away from the ball, and then he caught the ball on the bounce and started running with it. But the refs ruled that it was an 'invalid' fair catch signal, negating the run after the catch.
