I'm skeptical as well. This is one of those out of left field commits that seems like it caught everyone off guard. (Obviously I could be wrong and the coaches knew)

But usually when there is a weirdly timed, unexpected commit from far away it ends up becoming a decommit. Not always, but lots of times.

Now if someone comes along and tells me that this is a cousin of the Bootles or a close buddy of Jacory Barney then it'll make more sense, but right now it looks like a placeholder.

Offered just means "we're interested in you", the spring evaluation period is when things get serious. Alabama under Saban regularly led the country in offers given out
