Breaking Can we end the single digit number nonsense?

It makes sense in the era of recruiting high school kids and you have the most dedicated and all that.

It's all about the hired guns now, it's outdated.

I would like to see them go to the highest bidder. The AD conducts a silent auction where the players bid on the number they want. The proceeds would then go to a Lincoln charity. The winning player could choose to wear the number, or gift it to another.

I'm high right now, so I'm not sure this is a good idea or not.

Aren’t the players selected by the team? I have noticed that there are some fails amongst them both seasons but attributed it to players voting

Speaking of fails… Chasing 3 … Could be mistaken but I thought I heard Rhule mutter something about that being a mistake during an interview. At least he’s trying to motivate and try different things….

Beats point the finger not the thumb and No fear of failure 🎈

Who do we feel lived up to their single digit status?

I'll say: Nash, Jimari, Buford, Robinson

Banks
I have a hard time with bc he refused to do 50% of what the coaches asked him to do (block)

Hill was an actual attitude problem at one point in 2024, yes?

Gifford had a terrible year.

Hartzog is 4'11'' and had to cover 6'3'' guys. But he got beat a town in non-height related situations.

If the kids like it who cares that fans overreact to it.
BTW I should clarify. I'm agnostic on it. I don't care if they continue it. I was just agreeing with OP that we had some very interesting choices for single digits in that half of them went out and had terrible years.

@BIG TONE SOPRANO Another example of our tater fans thinking they know better than Rhule. Honestly, we have the dumbest fan base on the planet, thinking they know better than our coaches. I trust the coaches and whatever they think is best for the team. Then again, I’m a patriot.
