I’ve never been so excited to be average before

To be honest, we're not in a terrible spot. Obviously it sucks that we lost to Illinois....but it's not a bad thing that we're completely under the radar right now. Our team has not been mentally ready to deal with success. This was evidenced by our defense being not ready to play vs Illinois.

I do think that if we can play complete games here on out, the team can go 9-3 (Complete game for us is defined as: Offense A-, Defense A-, STs C).

Bottom line: we're 5-1 but we've somehow managed to look like ass in 4 out of those 6 games. I'd rather have everyone thinking we suck right now than be the media darling (like Indiana).

They were 3-9 with Tom Allen last year and I think that same team would be 5-1 or 4-2 vs their schedule.

The best statistical defense they’ve played is Charlotte at #69, Nebraska is 10.
