Same here, can't watch the Nuggets on NBATV in Lincoln because of blackouts. Blackouts might be on the top 10 list of stupid shit.

Yeah, Xfinity and Altitude TV are in a years long contract dispute here. So you can only watch the Nuggets/Avs if you have Directv or if it’s on national television. If I lived somewhere else I could buy nba league pass but since I’m in Denver that’s blacked out. It’s very stupid

100%. The shit talking and interactions between players/opponents/refs makes it worth every penny. So much communication every game that largely goes unnoticed, from defensive switches to complaining about fouls to talking shit.

Last night Dennis Smith Jr led a fast break and passed to someone who got fouled. He came over to our section on the floor and said “y’all like them wheels??”. Made our night

My dad played basketball for Pickle Smoochers and we had Season Tickets. He was also the Back Up Scoreboard Operator. So if 1 of the 2 guys couldn't make it he would fill in which happened quite often. For those games I'd get to sit next to him down on the floor at the scorers table. Literally right by where the players checked in and a couple feet away from the Pickle Smoochers Head coaches seat. Heard all kinds of great chatter between players, coaches and refs. Tony Barrone could really light up a ref, funny dude. Tom Apke was pretty low key. Willis Reed was a joke. Complete figurehead coach. Asst Coach Reggie Smith was the one who directed things during time outs on the bench. Learned a ton watching and hearing these coaches. Also got to see some great players up close like Larry Bird. Some of the coaches and players would give me a "Hey kid" or some greeting.

I hate it so much. It's the same for Avalanche games too. Local fans can't watch local pro sports teams in their own fucking city. Dumbest shit ever.

Yep makes no sense, I have league pass through Spectrum cable and can watch the Nuggets anytime but once they get on NBATV the channel shows a blackout warning as if I'm committing a crime trying to watch
