Meh idk about “power based” majority.

I’d say B1G is pretty split. Those more knowledgeable will know the difference as I think NW, Michigan and MSU also run spread as well 50/50 depending on personal. Even Cockeyes sometimes tries.

I’m terrible at diagnosing this though so @slattimer can break it down much better.

Power Based:
Cockeyes -
Wisconsin -
Minnesota -
Illinois -

Split:
Northwestern
Rutgers
Michigan
Michigan State

Spread:
Nebraska
Purdue
Indiana
Maryland
Penn State
Ohio State
I'd say the majority of the league is spread based. Very few operate almost exclusively under center as Cockeye and Wisconsin do.

Power Based:
Cockeyes - 21/22 Personnel OZ
Wisconsin - 21/22 Personnel Gap Scheme
Minnesota - One back TZ/OZ w/ tons of RPOs
Illinois - No idea, didn't pay much attention to their shit bag offense

Split:
Northwestern - Has been mostly spread over the years, dependent on the QB how much spread run game they've had.
Rutgers - Haven't paid much attention to what they run
Michigan - Harbaugh has been more pro style over his career, but is adaptive and utilizing more spread concepts
Michigan State - I thought from our game they were more 1 back based

Spread:
Nebraska - Has been a mismash of shit for years, started spread and transitioned to more 11/12 personnel "power spread"
Purdue - Spread
Indiana - Spread
Maryland - Spread
Penn State - Spread - under Moorhead they were tits and were mostly TZ, P&P, and Gap scheme
Ohio State - Spread Tight Zone/Gap Scheme. I've probably studied their offense the most, mainly because they have playbooks floating around out there that are fun to dissect.

I don't think you would like what they have to say. My friends who played at KU against our 90's teams had so much respect for Husker Football. A bunch of my buddies ended up playing in the NFL, and they said the Neb teams they faced were as well coached as some of the NFL teams. Osborne had it going. A majority of those friends played there in the early to mid 90's. After Osborne left I have watched so many Husker games with them over the years and they were shaking their heads at some of the stuff going on with our program and the product on the field. So much about football I don't know but I learn from them while watching games with them. I get text messages from them saying "Sorry", because they see how bad we have gotten and they know how passionate I am about Husker football. Sucks when KU football players are feeling sorry for me when their program is a train wreck also. You don't want to know what the former KU players are saying about the Frost coached teams, it is not good. They are not impressed in the least bit, actually embarrassed for me with the product we are putting on the field. The former linemen hate what they are seeing from our offense and questions so much of it. Will say that a former KU Safety and Linebacker think that our Defense is decent
What did they say back then about preparing for cosgrove D?

Honestly I don't remember. Had more communication with the staff on the defensive side of the ball, can you blame us for not wanting to speak with asshole Mangino? I didn't have any friends on the KU offensive side of the ball who played against Cosgrove led defenses. I doubt they were intimidated by it and for all of his faults Mangino had a great offensive mind. Plus it helped that they had Reising as their QB as he could improvise and was one heck of a leader. He was a difference maker, real quick blinker. Was a wild man too, kinda like Kenny Stabled. Out partying late the night before games and still brought his A Game hung over or not. Saw him many a night hammered at The Hawk.

Funny story about Reising. As a Freshman he was 3rd string and not expecting to play, so partied hard the night before games. The night before the Colorado game he got shit faced, like Black Out drunk. Was still drunk when he showed up before the game. Well during the game he is all kinds of hung over and starts throwing up on the sidelines. Well next thing you know the Fat Man yells that he wants Reising in at QB. 2nd Strong QB got skipped over. Mangino didn't know Todd had been chucking up his guts into a trash can on the bench. Reising grabbed his helmet and went into the game. Rallied the team to a come from behind victory against Colorado. The rest is history. Some people have the "It Factor", and he was one of those people.

Maybe Martinez just needs to drink before games.

I’ll be honest I heard that’s why he was ass in 2019. Felt himself on campus parties during the offseason and woke up on sorority floors quite a bit. My source was an important piece to the 2019 baseball team

But was he playing games drunk? I think he needs to be drunk. It would take the edge off.

And would justify the astronomical single mistake a game he makes. No he was not. But it somewhat explains why he got fat

I’m joking by the way. Maybe he just needs a shot of whiskey before the games like the Red Sox started doing the year they came back from 0-3 to the Yankees to beat them.

I know lol they really do that? Pretty sweet if they did. Maybe a little bump of cocaine like Strawberry used to do before throwing gems
