Hoping maybe someone here has experienced something similar and might have some insight. I'll be asking my Doc here in a few weeks when I have my annual physical, but here's the situation.

Was playing softball in late July for a friend of mine's team. Guy hit a line drive over short with a runner on 2nd. It looked like it was going to hit once, bounce up about waist high, and I'd have a shot to throw the guy out at the plate. Ball hit and bounced low (about knee high), so I extended my left arm down quickly to field the ball, extending it fully and almost a little back. I immediately felt some pain right above the crease in the elbow towards the bottom of the bicep. Since then, it hasn't gone away. I'm able to do most lifts that I normally do, but if I try to do something like a lateral raise, I really feel it in the same area and up my forearm (same with doing curls). I'm not able to lift anywhere the same amount of weight on that left arm. I'm really hoping that I didn't tear anything there. I stopped lifting for 2-3 months after it happened, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Oh, and for the record, I did field the all and threw the guy out at the plate, so in the end, I guess it was all worth it... 🙂

A lot of tPBers have sore biceps

I'm generally an idiot with most sports injury shit and try and play through it and hope it resolves itself. My first guess would be general structural/tendon/ligament wear and tear shit, but if it didn't resolve itself with 2-3 months off from lifting it's either a more significant injury and/or something you'll either need PT or a longer break to fix. GL man. That blows.

Only rec I would have would be some elbow CARs daily (wrists wouldn't hurt either). Honestly would recommend doing a full set of CARs for all your joints regardless for pretty much anyone, but kind of a separate topic.

I thought that was where you sit on your hand for a little while to get it numb first...
it is..but it's the opposite hand you typically use. In this case the left, which it isn't but if it were..."the stranger"...lol
