B1G schedules released

The conference scheduling us against all of the top teams is a good thing in one respect: if they start scheduling us against all of the other bottom feeders and mid-level teams means the networks have decided we have lost value to them and we run the risk of being left behind when the super conferences/leagues form.

Seems pretty fair all things considered
Yeah it doesn’t look like they are purposely trying to fuck us, but when you size it up it is pretty obvious that we are still completely fucked. We had plenty of time to gain some traction in this conference, and those days are long gone. Perennial 4 win team.

Maybe the reason our program sucks is because we've been lumped with the shitty Big XII North and the even worse B1G West for so long. Not exciting.

Hopefully our athletic department wises up with non-con scheduling going forward. There's no reason to schedule any power 5 opponents going forward in the non-con. I don't see what you'd be gaining with a conference schedule that looks like this consistently.

There is no place to hide in college football any longer. You either have good coaches and a culture that you can build a good team with or you will get smacked by someone that does. You also need to squeeze every bit of benefit out of any advantage you have in any area. And even if you do all those things you still will probably lose twice a season. Undefeated teams will be pretty rare.

"Every team will play every team at least twice in a five-year period."

Good. It's not hard to do. I hated the B1G's old method of giving you the same crossover opponent for five or six straight years while playing other teams once or zero times during that stretch. (But don't point that out to Indiana! They will take that highly insulting bulletin board material personally.)
