His kids once gave hundreds of thousands to OPS when the football helmets all had to be re-purchased back in 2015 or so. So they aren’t completely out on sports. But they aren’t going to be Knight or Pickens for us.

A great AD/Chancellor/President partnership could get them to donate to academics, facilities, and sports at the same time. But if we try to just say “our football team needs money” it 95% isn’t happening.
