It's totally cool and good if they want him, but my concern about the secondary is much lower than other places where the two remaining slots could be used.

I dunno. Seems to me we have bigger needs than a CB. We're light on young DB's but that can be handled with recruiting.

Agreed. I’d rather see us take another WR to try and avoid the disaster that has been that position group the last 2 years.

I thought this as well then I thought the only healthy proven commodity in that room right now is CTB.

I know I like a lot of guys in there, but I know we are a key injury away from not feeling as good about that room

I think if they come out of spring feeling good about Smothers then they could give this guy a look. But if I were anybody with a spot or 2 left, I would wait until spring ball and the abbreviated FCS schedule were done before fully committing to anybody currently in the portal.

Even more so with WR and OLB though. Really the only positions that isn't true is TE, dline and on a lesser scale oline.
