Hope it turns around. TBH, I didn't expect us to be very good this year so I wasn't too let down.Said it before the season. If anyone expected us to be any better than .500 this year you were fooling yourself. We lost a TON of experienced arm talent and some key players.
This year was rebuilding and getting the young arms built up. We’ve got some great talent and some excellent talent coming in that will contribute.
Big pickup for us today with the big bat from SCC. Kid led the nation in hitting and has some serious pop to go with it.
This next year we should see us moving back up the ladder.
Or it’s a move to avoid another year like this one. Too lazy to look but how many of these guys were actually recruited by bolt?
Male named Keagan.Leighton Banjoff has got to be one of the worst names on the planet.
I’ve always wondered why we never use SCC as a pipeline. The Parks brothers consistently are putting kids in D1 programsSaid it before the season. If anyone expected us to be any better than .500 this year you were fooling yourself. We lost a TON of experienced arm talent and some key players.

They do. AND they are a VERY interesting pair. Some very uncommon coaching practices.I’ve always wondered why we never use SCC as a pipeline. The Parks brothers consistently are putting kids in D1 programs
he goes 0-20 and then hits a home runSo is he gonna try to go pro or is he just retiring?
Sounds like every NY Met hitter for the last 5 years.he goes 0-20 and then hits a home run
his pro chances look bleak
Speaking of overhauls, Nebraska baseball has gotten to work this week building its new-look roster for next season after a disappointing 2022 campaign. The Husker coaching staff held postseason meetings with players on the roster this week, and while the headline of six players entering the transfer portal likely raised some eyebrows, it should not have come as a surprise. If players want innings or at-bats, this is the time for coaches to be frank about whether playing time likely needs to come at another school.
Nebraska’s lineup has the potential to look very different next season — we already know that two starting outfielders in Cam Chick and Leighton Banjoff won’t return next season, and catcher Griffin Everitt and infielder Efry Cervantes are among the players who have decisions to make about using Covid years. Pitchers Koty Frank and Shay Schanaman are also mulling decisions about using extra years of eligibility.
The Huskers will add double-digit players next season from the junior college ranks and have several high school players already signed in the 2022 recruiting class who have the ability to help right away next season. Expect more additions from the portal and junior college ranks over the next few weeks.
While the coaches get to work on the recruiting trail, Nebraska’s baseball players are beginning to scatter across the country for summer ball. One destination we’ll keep a close eye on this summer is LaCrosse, Wisconsin. That’s where sophomore-to-be Drew Christo will pitch for the LaCrosse Loggers. Christo had a freshman season that fell short of expectations for a draft prospect with his credentials. Christo will get an opportunity to hone his secondary pitches, while getting plenty of innings in a league known for being a summer grind. Max Anderson will be back in the Cape Cod League this summer, playing for the Wareham Gatemen.
He didn’t do much. Gave up some home runsForgot about Christo. Sounds like he was no good this year?
