Dumb. Even if you’re going to get beat use it as extra practices to get your younger players going as the outcome doesn’t matter.

I would say normally you’re right but they had a lot of turnover and the kids were already off campus.

Sometimes the best thing for team morale is not to bring everyone back from vacation just to get beat down by a service academy running an offense that none of them have seen before in college.

Normally I’d agree, but after seeing FSU go from 13-1 to 1-11 it makes you wonder if that absolute ass pounding they took while they were shorthanded in the bowl game had anything to do with it.

Next year is going to be a big year for him. It’s hard to know what will happen with these programs with how turbulent the turnover is.
Next year he is getting fired. It’s a different beast going from the AAC to the big ten or SEC & mid-tier QBs/Jeff grimes isn’t gonna turn it around.

There’s a reason Alvarez forced coaches to keep a similar scheme/foundation in place for 20 years.

He might. Teams won’t be moving on from coaches like they use to because they have so much money invested in NIL. I think he will get four years unless he absolutely shits the bed.

Besides the fact that he's underperforming and trashed their identity, he's not well liked in Madison. He has the charisma of roadkill.

The combination of those two things means he'll be gone if they have a season like 2024. I see nothing he's doing with his program to indicate he can salvage it.

Yea I think they are going to be learning some of their weaknesses that has been covered up for 30 years. We have gone thru the same experience & their next coach will probably be a PJ Fleck/Bielema type who’ll go back to that slow boring mud bog game
