I think he probably had an opportunity to interview for it but PJ Fleck pantsing him on national tv kinda put a damper on it then as the job stayed open and Rhules season fell off a cliff it became impossible. Iirc he was one of the last “candidates” to say hey I’m staying at my job

That's my take but remember how he talked about having a decision to make and how much his wife and kids love it here like he was making some big personal sacrifice for them. I also have to ask myself how much Rhule tipping his hand that he might leave for PSU if offered plays into the Raiola family and their antics basically making it impossible for Dylan to stay even if (and I do believe it was the case) Dylan wanted to stay at Nebraska.
