Quick update on Oregon DL Terrance Green.

He's no longer visiting Nebraska today due to a travel issue with his mom. Cal and his former DC, Tosh Lupoi, are now involved. Here is his schedule tentatively:

Friday - Alabama
Saturday - Cal
Sunday - Nebraska

Now we get the last visit for Green, but with the way things have been going, he'll never make it here.

The first couple of days I was really encouraged. It seemed like we had executed really well on qb - took care of that first, had him enter with a no contact tag, committed within a couple of days.

Then that completely fell apart. And then it became clear that qb was largely the extent of our “successful” tampering and we were just kind of in the mix with other similarly situated programs.

It hasn’t been a disaster, but it’s also kind of hard to believe that this kind of a haul is worthy of an 800k GM.

One thing we must admit is that they do usually have a back up plan as far as portal players are concerned. I'm sure they'll have another DL target for tomorrow or Saturday.

The thing is, since it's so late in the cycle, it's a mad scramble. So cancellations and ruined plans should be expected. That anticipation should lead you to plan a contingency.

Also, I'm gonna be as critical of Pat Stewart as anyone but the reality is that there really is no way to practice this. No real way to be prepared for this level of chaos and nonsense.
