Without a mobile QB. It’s doubtful. But I don’t know what he ran a lot of at Houston. But don’t think he has at WVU
Not with Grier at WVU.. At Houston they ran alot more QB run game. RPO and lead draw. Specifically with King but kept it around for Tune... who was a much better passing QB

The QB room heading into year 4 was TJ who has durability issues and needs a ton of work in the passing game and that’s it. So I do not really see much of a QB room they put together. Understand DR left but seems like a pretty barren room this far into it Rhule’s tenure. That was the point however could be wrong and a bunch of P2 programs are setup this way. It just feels like we shouldn’t be this desperate with that room this far in.

Honestly I think that’s college football nowadays - there just aren’t going to be many places where guys willingly sit and good teams can always pull in someone new each year

Almost every single CFP team this year will be starting a transfer QB next year. It’s just the way it be’s now.

I believe Holgs took this job and kept Satt's pro style scheme because he wanted to use this gig to eventually get an NFL OC role, a rumor that's been around for a while. Dylan was the perfect QB to do it with. In my opinion, that ship has sailed.

I believe he's now at the point of trying to not look like a shitty OC and tarnish his legacy before he retires. I think we will see a lot more of old Holgs schematically next year hence moving to a scrambling QB. I could also be flat-out wrong on this.

What exactly is pro style ?

We have three capable QB's with power conference experience. You're not going to get much better than that in today's game.

I haven’t looked at all rosters so not sure but makes sense to stay old if you can. Maryland is bringing back their freshman QB however he is excellent.
