I think PJ is a good coach.

I think he'd come to Nebraska and forget how to coach (as they all do).
The right coach can do well here. Riley was on the decline when we hired him. Frost had one lucky year because he found a great qb, and Rhule hasn’t ever beat a top 25 team. If Rhule doesn’t work out, try another coach. Teams like Florida, FSU, and Miami and other good programs have had multiple years of struggles in the 2000s. It’s not just a Nebraska thing. I also don’t expect to ever get back to where we were, but we can definitely be a solid program again.

Stoudmire shit is a red flag. He apparently collapsed in fall camp and went by ambulance to a hospital. Came back. Got injured again Played another game and then had a season ending one

Bizarre year. Hopefully, they get a shot at someone else.
Bumping this since no less than an expert than Dean has crystal balled him to DONU.

Holy Scrolls! This thread is insane. The fact that we have so many people already completely out on Rhule and talking about PJ Fleck as our next coach is unfathomable to me.

I get it - no one is happy with how the season ended and it has left a bad taste in all of our mouths. But holy fuck...what are we talking about about here? The team and roster has improved every year under Rhule so far - the wheels are not falling off.

Butler was a mistake at DC. And Rhule addressed it and corrected it. No, we didn't end up with Elijah Robinson to coach the DL - but we did end up with a guy that our new DC has worked with and wants to work with again. Brown was not a panic/desperation hire. Sorry it took longer than many here were comfortable with.

No, we don't have Texas Tech money to be in that top tier of the portal. But we still have done very well. Look at the OL - completely re-tooled from both a personnel standpoint and coaching. Yes, we still have a few holes, and the staff is still attempting to fill those. Settle down.

Really, the only true negative that we can point to is the Ek situation. And even that, we don't know all of the information. Ek very well could be the problem here. Take a step back and think about it. Yes, he has done wonders with special teams. But he also is a nut case. We are talking about a guy who got a tattoo of a high school kid to recruit him. He has a few bolts loose. I would have liked to keep Ek, but this could also be a situation where it is addition by subtraction.

Calm the fuck down. It's not nearly as bad as so many are making it out to be. Rhule very well could fail still and we might be shopping for a new coach sooner than later. But we also we bowl eligible for back to back seasons for the first time in nearly a decade.

Is it what we want yet? Nope...not at all. But Rhule also isn't content with it and is making changes to try and make it better.

You’re misinterpreting the Pee Pants talk IMO

Are you saying that people who have been critical of Rhule should calm down because he is working on fixing the problems that he is directly responsible for creating? If so, I’m in!
