He must’ve been under the impression he wasn’t going to get any of the P4 west coast jobs.

@Seaofred92 GITT and tell us what the story is
Him and his wife desperately wanted to go back to the West Coast and this was as good as he was going to be able to do. He has a huge place in Idaho where he would spend his off time still even while at UConn and this makes it much easier to do those things for both of them together.

Very grateful for what he accomplished at UConn but this was also a very natural inflection point losing Fagnano and Bell. Wish Mora nothing but the best - UConn is a school of winners with a history of winning across the athletics department and I'm very confident that we have the financial, administrative and political commitment in place to hire another coach that will build on the foundation Mora laid to continue winning at a high level in football moving forward

I was just digging through gambling threads trying to remember which poster followed UCONN heavy. Good move by Mora if that’s the case.

Any chance Cam Edwards stays in CFB another season and would like to reunite with a former UConn RB coach?

I'm sorry I missed this - but what has made you the king of UCONN info? I never knew this connection...
(that sounds like a dickhead question - but I promise it's genuine as can be haha)

If he stays in CFB I could definitely see this happening - my understand is he is planning to try his hand at the NFL after this season ends though (although I’m sure NU could offer a package similar to a late round pick that would be enticing)

Fun fact - Edwards is blind in one eye. Absurd how good he is.

On ESPN radio this morning, a guest was saying DeBoer is a possibility to go to Penn State. Interesting…..
This has been making the rounds. Don't know the validity of any of those rumors, but if I'm PSU I'd give it a shot.

For me as a fan it would be fun to see Alabama lose their HC. That would making the coaching carousel much more interesting.

Hahaha I’m not sure if I’m the king of UConn info but I did my undergrad at UConn and am pretty well plugged in with the folks that know what’s going on in Storrs, both in the AD and BOT.

This move wasn’t a surprise to anyone in the admin and we knew of HCJM’s desires to go back west - it’s all early but keep an eye on Jason Eck and Andy Kotelnicki as two names UConn is interested in at this stage (although things change extremely quickly on both sides)

Would like Deboer to stick it out at Bama. Such a fish out of water there.

The less entrenched he is at programs perceived as better than nebraska the better. He's coming home if the job's open and he's not in a perfect situation

Incredible. I had no clue. Another connection we've got on the board! Thanks for sharing

Eck would make sense - Kotelnicki too big for UCONN FB? I guess getting that HC experience is always valuable. I figured Kotelnicki could be a guy to jump a bit bigger outta the gate in his HC Journey

My brother is a big USF fan. He knew there was almost no chance they’d hold onto Golesh but he’s still gonna be bummed about this. Dude’s a good coach.
This hurts my Fantasy standing - I counted on Golesh going SOMEWHERE but I really thought Lashlee would jump to the SEC - so much for that SMU spot opening up.
