“It’s in legal” would be the answer I’d get on a deal that I went to check on this time of year. Am I right @HCFord1 ?
If Michigan truly has backed off and we are his best offer I’m guessing his reps are likely reviewing the Nebraska offer and making sure it’s the best it can be. I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s got to go through a legal review process on both sides. As @HCFord1 and I are both keenly aware, legal reviews take time and many times this time of the year the people you need are not in the office.

My contract is pending with the worst possible status: pending review with a legal vendor who wrote the language that my company initially reviewed, laughed at, and submitted an alternative to.
Luckily for me the end of year isn’t my own deadline. The client wants to use 202; budget to pay for half of the project, so if they want that done then they have two more business days to accomplish it. Our fiscal year and quarters don’t align with a calendar year so idgaf if it signs now or in two weeks.

Theres nothing worse than working your ass off on a deal for months only for you to get into legal and have the lawyers fight back and forth. Last year I was in on a deal where both legal teams got heated, integrity was called out, professionalism was questioned, and ability to do one’s job was as well.
Then it signed and everyone was like best friends. It appears to just be how some people think they should do business.

Until the courts sort it out basically no rules so just let him xfer seems to be the only play. 2nd choice is a goof.
