2024-25 Portal SZN Thread

The argument is that the NCAA doesn’t give a shit anymore.
The ncaa is fighting the JUCO ruling. They just won’t win

They turned down baseball players, but the Vandy qb was willing to have a lawyer fight for him. Or a Vandy grad was willing to fight it.

The fight is JUCO isn’t apart of the ncaa so doesn’t count towards ncaa years of service

I actually agree with it. A kid can go to a prep school for a 5th year of HS and it's totally cool but a kid goes to a junior college and it counts against him? Doesn't make any sense.

I agree.
And we can all be more like byu. 27 year old sophomores ftw and we don’t have to have 5 wives

Where are the 15 incoming transfers at
We won't know the identity of the last of the transfers until close to the time second semester classes start. Although there is a dead period beginning next Monday (I believe) transfers can resume visits after the first of the year. The only thing that stops 12/28 is portal entry.

Can someone help me out on what the arguments are for juco guys to still have 4 years of eligibility even after playing juco?
That is spelled out in a preliminary injunction, and I haven't seen the parties filings, so this is a guess: It is more "what is the legal argument that entitles the NCAA (an organizations of the universities) to constrain the ability of some their students to play football and not constrain the ability of others? Why isn't this simply potentially open to any and all students? Constraining the ability to participate effectively reduces a student's ability to earn income from football in college and after college."

It's not an illogical argument.
